Terms of service
Last updated: October 6, 2026
These terms cover your use of forthire.com and everything you buy from us: Featured roles, Employer Pro, FortHire Pro, Security Hiring Signals and our browser tools. The service is run by FortHire ("FortHire", "we", "us"), reachable at support@forthire.com. By using the site you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use it. You must be at least 16 years old to use FortHire.
1. What FortHire is
FortHire collects cybersecurity and GRC job postings that employers publish on their own applicant tracking systems, and shows them in one searchable place. Searching and reading listings is free and needs no account.
FortHire is not an employer, recruiter or staffing agency. We don't take applications, and we don't decide who gets hired. Every "Apply" link goes to the employer's own posting. What happens after that is between you and the employer.
2. Listings come from employers
Each listing is copied from an employer's public posting, and we re-check postings daily. Employers write the listings, not us. We can't promise that any listing is accurate, complete, still open or lawful. A salary appears only when the employer published one, and we never estimate pay. Check details with the employer before you rely on them, and take normal care with anyone who asks you for money or sensitive personal information during a hiring process.
3. FortHire Pro
- What you get: the features described on the Pro page at the time you buy. Today that means 24-hour early access to new listings, advanced filters, a fit-ranked profile, private feeds for saved searches, and Slack or Discord alerts. We may improve or change features over time. If we remove a core feature you paid for, you can ask for a refund under the refund policy.
- Price and billing: $15/mo or $60/yr ($5/mo billed yearly), plus any tax shown at checkout. Pro renews automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. New purchases are processed by Stripe: you can cancel or update your card at any time from Manage billing on the Pro page. Pro bought earlier through Gumroad is billed by Gumroad, which is the merchant of record for those purchases and handles their payments, receipts, taxes and cancellations. Gumroad's terms also apply to those purchases.
- Cancelling and refunds: see our refund policy. If you cancel, you keep Pro until the end of the period you've already paid for.
- Your license key: your key is for your own personal use. You may use it on your own devices. Don't share it, publish it or resell it. Private feed links and sign-in links contain your key or a token, so treat them like passwords. If a key is shared publicly or misused, we may deactivate it.
- Refunds and disputes: a refunded, charged-back or disputed purchase switches Pro off for that key.
Employer Pro
- What you get: the features described on the Employer Pro page at the time you buy. Today that means featuring your own open roles while your plan is active, a claimed employer page with your description and careers link, and the Cleared Hiring Index as a CSV. You may only feature roles from your own employer's hiring page, and only after we confirm you work for that employer.
- Price and billing: $499 per month or $4,990 per year, plus any tax shown at checkout, paid by card or US bank account. It renews automatically until you cancel. A bank payment can take up to 4 business days to clear; the plan starts when it does.
- Cancelling, failed payments and refunds: cancel any time from Manage billing and the plan runs to the end of the period you paid for. If a renewal payment fails, featuring and profile changes pause until it goes through. A refunded, charged-back or disputed payment ends the plan. See our refund policy.
- Your key and content: keep your Employer Pro key private. You are responsible for the description and links you add, which must be accurate and must not imply government endorsement. We may edit or remove them.
Featured roles
- What you get: the role you name is pinned and labeled "Featured" as described on the Featured page at the time you buy, for the period stated there. You may only feature a real open role from your own employer's hiring page.
- Price: $99 for one role or $299 for a 3-pack, plus any tax shown at checkout. A discount code, such as FOUNDING49, changes the price only as shown at checkout.
- Refunds: see our refund policy. We may remove a Featured role that breaks these terms.
Security Hiring Signals
- What you get: the weekly report described on the Signals page at the time you buy, by email. It renews until you cancel.
- Refunds: see our refund policy.
Browser tools
- What you get: a key that unlocks the paid features of the FortHire browser tool you bought, as described on that tool's page at the time you buy. The key is for your own use.
- Price: as shown at checkout ($2.99 or $9.99, depending on the tool), plus any tax shown at checkout.
- Refunds: see our refund policy.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- copy, scrape or bulk-download the site or its data beyond the public feeds and normal browsing, or resell or republish our listings as a data product;
- try to get around Pro limits, the early-access window or rate limits, or probe, overload or break the site or its API;
- add webhooks to channels you don't control, or use FortHire to send spam;
- use the site in breach of any law, or to harass, deceive or discriminate against anyone.
Public RSS and Atom feeds are provided for personal use and for community channels that link back to FortHire.
5. Intellectual property
Job postings belong to the employers who wrote them. Employer names and marks belong to their owners, and we use them only to identify the employer behind a listing. The FortHire name, logo, site design, code and our own text belong to FortHire. You may link to any FortHire page.
6. Removing listings, and copyright complaints
Employers and individuals. To remove a posting, all of a company's postings, or your name from a listing, use the contact form or email support@forthire.com. Include the job link or company name. If an employer closes a posting in its own system, it disappears from FortHire within about a day.
Copyright (DMCA) notices. If you believe material on FortHire infringes your copyright, email a notice to support@forthire.com.
Your notice must include:
- your physical or electronic signature;
- a description of the copyrighted work you say is infringed;
- the URL of the material on FortHire;
- your name, address, phone number and email;
- a statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent or the law;
- a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorized to act for the owner.
When we receive a valid notice, we remove or disable the material and, where we can, tell the person who provided it.
Counter-notices. If your material was removed and you believe that was a mistake, you can send a counter-notice to the same address. It must include your signature, the material removed and where it appeared, a statement under penalty of perjury that you believe it was removed by mistake or misidentification, and your name, address and phone number. You must also consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court for your address (or, outside the US, any judicial district where FortHire may be found) and agree to accept service from the person who sent the original notice. We may restore the material in 10 to 14 business days unless the complainant tells us they have filed a court action.
Repeat infringers. We end access for users who repeatedly infringe others' rights, where we can identify them.
7. No warranty
FortHire and everything we sell (Featured roles, Employer Pro, FortHire Pro, Security Hiring Signals and our browser tools) are provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We don't promise the site will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any listing will lead to a job.
8. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, FortHire is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost earnings or lost opportunities. This includes losses arising from listings, from employers' hiring decisions, or from a site outage. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service or anything you bought from us is limited to the fees you paid FortHire in the 12 months before the claim. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you.
9. Indemnity
If you misuse the site or break these terms and someone brings a claim against us because of it, you agree to cover our reasonable costs of that claim, to the extent the law allows.
10. Suspension and ending
You can stop using FortHire at any time. We may suspend or end access to Pro if you break these terms, for example by sharing a key publicly or abusing the API. If we end Pro without a breach on your part, we'll refund the unused part of your current period.
11. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Jefferson County, Texas, and you and FortHire agree to that venue, unless the law where you live lets you bring them elsewhere. Nothing here limits rights that consumer law in your country gives you and that can't be waived.
12. Changes
We may update these terms. We'll change the date at the top, and for significant changes we'll post a note on the site. If you keep using FortHire after a change, the new terms apply. If you don't accept a change, you can cancel Pro under the refund policy.
