Cookies and local storage

forthire.com sets no cookies. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies. We run no analytics script, so there is no cookie banner.
What we store in your browser
Some features use your browser's local storage. It works much like a cookie, but it stays on your device and isn't sent with every page request.

These entries are strictly necessary for features you choose to use, or they remember a preference you set, so they don't need consent. They're never used for advertising, and we don't share them with anyone. Your license key or sign-in token goes to our server only when you use a Pro feature. See the privacy policy.
To remove them: choose "Sign out" on the Pro page, or clear site data for forthire.com in your browser settings.
Other sites
- Checkout. When you buy, the buy button takes you to Stripe's checkout page on buy.stripe.com, and the Manage billing link takes you to Stripe's billing page. Stripe may set its own cookies on those pages to process the payment and prevent fraud. Those cookies are covered by Stripe's privacy policy. Nothing from Stripe loads on our own pages. If you bought Pro earlier through Gumroad, your receipt and billing pages are on Gumroad's site, under Gumroad's privacy policy.
- Security. Cloudflare, which delivers our site, may set a short-lived security cookie if it needs to tell people and bots apart. We haven't seen it do so on our site.
- Employer sites. "Apply" links take you to the employer's own site, which has its own cookie policy.
Changes
If we ever add a cookie or tracker that isn't strictly necessary, we'll ask for your consent first and update this page.
