What success looks like in this role:
We are looking for a Cloud Vulnerability Management Security Engineer to help strengthen our cloud security posture by identifying, assessing, and managing vulnerabilities across cloud environments while leveraging AI-driven solutions to enhance security operations and reduce manual effort.
Key Responsibilites:
- Identify, report and triage vulnerabilities affecting organization cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Configure and maintain cloud-native scanning tools (e.g., CSPM platforms, cloud provider security services) to continuously identify vulnerabilities and misconfigurations across cloud workloads, containers, and infrastructure-as-code.
- Develop, tune, and maintain AI agents, prompts, and scripts that reduce manual analyst workload - for example, detection triage, alert enrichment, and report generation.
- Partner with DevOps, engineering, and infrastructure teams to drive timely patching and remediation, tracking SLAs and escalating overdue or high-risk findings.
- Build dashboards and metrics that give leadership visibility into AI system performance, adoption, and emerging cyber risk trends.
- Maintain clear documentation of AI integrations, prompt-engineering standards, and operational playbooks. Track emerging AI-specific security risks (e.g., prompt injection, model manipulation, data leakage) relevant to tools in use.
- Support the AI Security Architect in piloting, testing, and rolling out new AI capabilities and platform modules.
- Analyze, prioritize, and manage vulnerabilities identified in applications and cloud infrastructure.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely remediation and risk mitigation.
- Assists in analyzing new software requests from a security perspective, ensuring alignment with organizational security policies and best practices
- Perform routine and targeted audits of cloud environments to identify security vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Develop, maintain, and communicate cloud security policies and procedures.
You will be successful in this role if you have:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or similar, or the equivalent hands-on experience combined with training and certifications.
- 3-5+ years of application security experience
- Experience with vulnerability management solutions such as Tenable or Qualys.
- Solid scripting/programming ability (Python, PowerShell, or similar) for building automation and integrations.
- Experience working in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and cloud security tooling.
- Proven experience of handling cloud security incidents.
- Have conducted cloud security audits, compliance assessments, and creating recommendations for improving security posture.
- Handling event streams in cloud platforms or workloads and have worked on automation that ingested or processed these events.
- Communicate effectively with developers, project teams, technical and business owners the security risks and remediation strategies appropriate for an application.
- Strong organizational skills and time management capabilities.
